Don't worry, if the show is not popular it will most likely have a low rating.
And if it's popular it will be overrated. AOT for example. Not gonna lie its good, deserve its place, but it's not the best anime ever, there's no such thing as "The best anime ever"

And then comes very popular Anime that are over hated just because a stupid YouTuber said the show is trash (I'm talking about SAO)

Burning Kabaddi is the first sport genre anime I've ever watched and I personally enjoyed it. Though this was my first time hearing about the sport Kabaddi, being a soccer fan, I enjoyed it a lot to the point I started web searching it lol. It's not a sport that is popular worldwide, so that can be part of the reasons why the ratings is low, it may not be a top tier show, but it's definitely a good watch, to pass time away at the very least.

That only depends on you. I love SAO and I consider it a Masterpiece, but not the best anime because it doesn't exist the perfect Anime.

From the 5 episodes I watched, the characters weren't very interesting. Also, I don't think the sport lends itself to the stiff animation the anime had. Every time someone made a play, you got a still image with impact indicators and the "STRUGGLE" announcement. I feel there is just way too much movement in the actual sport for what a limited animation budget would allow.

And still, the score isn't that low. Over a 7 is pretty good. Poor Sayonara Cramer would kill for a 7.

The highest liked review of the review has some critiques of the show. I plan to pick back up the show soon. However, one of the top-review’s complaints was that it lacked in the amount of Indian characters since the sport is based on an Indian-made sport. He claims that this show “pissed off it’s main demographic,” which I assume he means people accustomed to to the sport. The reviewer even goes as far to indicate that the mangaka might be a “massive racist.” I am an Indian-American who knows the sport well, but it didn’t really upset me. Idk, it seems to be a quite unique case. A 7 though is definitely not a bad or low score in my opinion.

I didn't expect much from this anime but holy fuck was I surprised. I really had a good time watching this.PS I used to play kabbadi. This anime definitely deserves way more attention then it gets.I totally concur with the whole lack of some details in this.

Idk to me there were boring parts so that’s why I didn’t like it as much, but I also liked it because it was my first time hearing about this sport so it was kinda fun learning about it

SAO the only reason i dislike certain parts of SAO is Kirito who i believe to be a bland MC, when Alice was the MC i thought it was pretty solid.

First of all, Kirito was the only MC lmao. And I don't understand your definition of bland character? Kirito is well written in my opinion but yeah.
Your opinion, can't judge you, but it feels weird to say Kirito is bland since he had many peak moments.

Got my respect for watching until Alicization though,not many reach season 3 saying SAO.

You basically answered your question yourself. Not everyone grew up playing Kabaddi, in fact most people didn't even knew about it before anime was announced. Of course they won't enjoy it as much as you.

The score seems just about right for a decent one cour sports anime adaptation that didn't really reach some sort of climax yet.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

I didnt know anything about the sport but i really liked it, the characters we're also really good but it would benefit a lot for better animation and it show with many stand still scenes.I still enjoyed it but it's kind of a stigma with spocons only a smaller group likes to watch it.
