So, we came to an ending.

-----

I am wondering "Sara could have went trhough the comatose state; they would discover the cure -as they did- and so she would be cured" but I guess it was her choice to not go trhough it?

Also, even though Shiraki Yuki is somehow Sara, I still feel bad for Sara´s death. At least author-san could have showed a glimpse of Shiraki remembering her past life (which is Sara´s life)? That would make me feel better.

Also, I have been wondering, did Sara remember her past back then just because she was already close to her death?
If yes, that means Shiraki won´t remember her past life?

Also, KAZARAKI LILIA? Did Iris changed her name? I mean, Iris didn´t die, right? I am confused....

man this series was so nice and cute at the start but then that twist about them only lasting for a year and then Sara actually dying and to see she was a reincarnation (which i pretty much figured would be the case )

but yeah this was a nice series in the end they ended up together pretty much a happy end and a cure was even found so actually got an actual end which is hard to come by for most series

but yeah overall i enjoyed it

I put off reading this for so long because it looked like pure smut. And when I started reading it it very much looked like smut. That was until chapter 6. . . Then it turned into a borderline hentai version of Kimi to Tsuzuru Utakata. It even ended eerily similar to how I said I expect Kimi to Tsuzuru Utakata to end (https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=2046503#post2). Obvious plot progression is the way to go I guess.

The ending was pretty badly rushed. It was going at a good pace until the last 5ish chapters. She went from having up to 8 months left to being on deaths door in a few chapters and they went out of their way to show that they got to see the stewartias again so she got the full 8 months and then some. And with a chapter and an epilogue left to go I wasn't expecting chapter 21 to be the climax. Considering how slowly they were building it up, for that 1 chapter to cover multiple months with Sara suddenly dying in the middle of it was so jarring that it didn't even give me enough time to cry and I had been fighting tears up to that point. It was all extremely awkward. That and the borderline hentai throughout dropped my rating down to a 7/10 when it could have been an 8/10 or 9/10.

The initial premise was kind of shaky. No matter how you look at it, Sara was basically raped and drugged to boot. They make it very clear from the start that biting is a very sexual experience and Iris forced herself on Sara a few times before Sara truly accepted it. Sara saying after the fact that she didn't entirely hate it doesn't change what it was. When Iris flat out said that biting caused an aphrodisiac affect and that they'd both suffer from withdrawal without daily feeding it very much made me question how much of their love was because of the effect of Sara literally being drugged every day and unable to resist. It was something that was quickly downplayed but never left my mind for a minute as rape is the one thing I don't handle very well and the first few chapters were very rapey.

Aside from that something that really stood out like a sore thumb was just how quickly Sara became comfortable talking to people when she was so completely socially inept at the beginning. No progression, no explanation. Just, bam, she can talk to people now. They hint in the epilogue that Yuuki and Lilia will remember their past lives at some point so I was fine with that and didn't need to see it.

This whole manga felt like it had an introduction to the story concept and then just jumped straight to its conclusion without any real middle. Could've been interesting in terms of content matter but this is far too rushed to get invested in unfortunately. Wasted potential

It was a good read but very flawed. Mostly the rushed development of how things turned out to be both in characters and story.

The ending ended up not feeling sad as it apparently intended to be, because on the last chapter, after the cure for brides happens and they are reborn, there is still possibility that they would remember who they were (their past love with it and honestly it is very likely that they will remember, so all of the melancholic, grief tone of the story was undermined and weakened because at the end it is a happy ending anyway.

As other comment said, had potential, and it indeed could have been a bit more. Nothing special with the story at the end.
