Outbreak Company: Moeru Shinryakusha Volume 10 Discussion
| I was pretty disappointed in the previous volume considering there was an actual change of setting and some amount of storytelling here and this volume pretty much continues that trend, particularly with its villainous characters being the armies of various countries. There was a lot of action as Shinichi and co. tried to rescue Minori and then escape back to Eldant, but not enough real substance to go along with the story. Nice to see Shizuki though recognize that her brother, while being an annoying otaku, had changed to being someone who can have his cool moments, and that there are people who genuinely care for him like Myucel which she can understand why now. All's well that ends well with them returning back to Eldant at the end, but man I feel like the potential with the return to Japan storyline felt wasted for me. Kind of flat as a whole although by no means the worst volume of the series. |
