Zeitaku na kondate - "A Luxurious Meal"

We've finally made it to Episode 100!

In this outing, Ashida, a jaded chef and heir to a Ginza ryōtei, is intent to spend all of his fortune on the most luxurious foodstuffs because he was rejected by a superficial woman. But Nobuko, the woman who actually loves him, shows him how wasteful he has been. She spends all of the money meant for their aborted wedding on the best red seabream and bluefin tuna, to then only serve him the skin and fatty underside respectively. The remainders will be thrown out, because he ate the best parts and who needs the rest of it?

Ah, the lessons we have learned along the journey of this show.

Surprised that Ashida didn't re-confess to Nobuko with "It's meaningless to eat the best part and then eat something worse."
