Volume 1 (the only one to come out so far) concludes with a happy ending, though it does have a bit of drama during the climax of the story.
The novel is a romantic comedy with some elements that make it a kind of parody of the genre. There are several funny moments but the essence of the work is that it is a serious story. Heroines seek to triumph after having lost in romance. The protagonist, Kazuhiko, is thus far an observer of events. He has only gotten involved with Anna, the cover girl, becoming friends with him. One lesson the novel leaves me is that nothing is insured. The heroines believed that by being close to the boys they liked they were guaranteed a courtship, which in the end was not the case.
It was the first novel that I bought and read in Japanese. I totally recommend it. It is a very entertaining and interesting story. I look forward to the second volume.

Thanks for appreciating my kind of review about the story. This is a good Rom-Com from GAGAGA Bunko.

Glad I gave this one a shot. At first I was skeptical by the premise, as this kind of stuff usually leads to incel fiction and harem. But I'm relieved to see that it's actually really good with natural relationships and great characters, Looking forward for the anime!
