how is this anime not ecchi

excuse my for asking but how tf is this anime not under the "ecchi" category? The fan service in this anime is insane. im not complaining because i like these edgy stuff and i will most likely rate this thing a "10 masterpiece" depending on the ending but can MAL team please fix this lmfao.

Because ecchi means "fanservice"
And kuzu no honkai uses sensual seen in a meaningful way not haha panty and boob grab by mistake go brrr

Well I mean it isn’t really? When thinking of ecchi it’s more of a fanservice type of element. Since it isn’t there in protrudingly fan service type ways it wouldn’t really be considered ecchi. I dunno if that explains it but hey it be like that sometimes

This explanation would be more appropriate, I think?!

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

It ain’t ecchi tho. There’s a deeper meaning behind the sexual themes in the show it ain’t just there to be there.

Ecchi means fanservice, this anime only uses sexual action and the like in order to progress the plot.

This is not ecchi. Ecchi shows use lewd and sensual actions for the sake of comedy and fanservice. This show use these types of actions to show deeper meanings and giving raw emotions. So yeah, I don't consider this show as ecchi.
