Hello! I'm a new member in this club, you can call me Kaede, Ascendance of a Bookworm is one of my favorites so i wanted to join this club, let's get along! I have a few questions to ask, first thing i want to ask is, i'm not sure of reading the manga or the light novel? Will i miss something if i read the one and not the other? Are they both on the same part of the story?

I would say go for the Light Novels.
The Manga is simply not readable in order yet, it is going to take some time for the Manga to be adapted fully as it happens to be that the story is divided into 5 parts and the manga for 1st part is completely adapted but for Part 2,3 and 4, Manga volumes are being released in parallel (though timely, there is no sudden release break), and Part 5 has not been adapted yet.
Whereas the Light novel is being adapted/translated in order.
Thus if you happen to read through Manga Part1 and start Part 2, you technically can't advance ahead to Part 3 as Part 2 is still to be released, without changing medium (Manga to LN/WN).
Meaning pure Manga readers are stuck at Part 2 while waiting for content while LN readers can advance up to Part 4.
Also, if you are reading the LN you can easily jump over to the Manga(for extra illustration/medium) if you want to, irrespective of weather you are reading Part 1,2,3,4.

Yes, both are the same part. The Manga is directly adapted from the LNs.
