The ending was open so I think there will be S2. I hope that there will be an S2 because for me it is one of the best anime and it deserves S2 and a new story.

I would pass on watching a S2 if they made one. Hard enough sticking with 13 episodes without dropping it. The worst series of the season on my list. Could not follow the story, and to many stupid things just to make the plot work.

Netflix usually does at least two seasons for all of their original series, anime or not, no matter how badly received they are, so I would bet on it.

Netflix? All they did was stream it outside of Japan. It’s up to Bones and Orange since they are the studios that made the anime.

BONES got partnership with Netflix like Netflix is the one that funds them to do this

With the partnership with the studios and the fact that it's a fresh take on Godzilla, I believe it's very likely.

I’ll be real sad if Netflix drops their plans for a Season 2, cuz of luke warm reception. Cuz I want more of these characters. The animation style is so different and fun, like the old Ultraman days.

Hopefully it gets a Season 2 and they sorta tone back from the technobabble abit, have some more proper Godzilla stuff going on and less small scale Jet Jaguar styled action. I thought the action was good, but there was just not enough large scale fighting going on.

throughout the year they only announced shit anime sequels (except Beastars), always sequel to isekai, moeblob and romance.

If they don't sequel this I get even less confidence in anime productions
