cool ep. what was the point of showing that man at the end of the last episode though? it only made us suspicious of an assassination happening. So was he just a spy...?

It moves us forward a bit by taking us back. With Yugiri’s reveal we have a clear picture of why she was brought back thanks to her connection to Kotaro’s ancestor and the Grandpa Bartender. She fits into the actual saving of Saga portion. What they’re saving it from is still unclear. I gotta believe it’s bigger than “it’s becoming irrelevant”, but at the same time it could be Kotaro’s family duty to keep Saga alive.

So that old man in the bar survived since saga survived interesting

Yugiri is so precious. It was sad to see her die :(

Good backstory. Nice that they took 2 episodes to show it

Ah, what a beautiful two-part arc... or, you could say, saga. That ending song was an awesome way to end this, from reliving olden traditions to performing current ones. And dang, was it a vibe.

Yugiri nee-san turned out to be more legendary than ever. Is this the plot twist?

And... with this episode, you can exactly pinpoint when Yuugiri went from favorite Zombieland Saga character to top 10 all-time favorite anime characters, yes, i went there.

To date, i still think how unbelievable it was for me during my first watch in 2021 to keep myself and avoid to start ugly crying on a train trip, in front of so many people in a packed wagon, towards a italian anime convention in the seaside city of Rimini, when Yuugiri's letter is read and her final moments shown. Ito obviously is involved with the "wrong" kind of people and Kiichi also is somehow in a situation really gone out of hand but somehow will survive and see his dream come true thanks to the noble, wonderful, brave oiran taking all the blame in his place. Everything in this episode (idealism vs cynicism especially in all the inspiring and ugly details) was pulled off perfectly, as #05 is perfect herself. Great, great final song too, i love her talking voice even more than the singing one, and the singing one is gorgeous and fights for the best place "against" Junko's.

@_untitled YEs it did, According to Google "The first known surviving photograph was taken in 1826 or 1827 by French inventor and photographer Joseph Nicéphore Niépce (1765–1833)"
