Police in a Pod
| Kawai is a rookie female police office. She’s about to quit due to the perceived machismo and feminism of law enforcement in Japan. She holds off just one more shift and is paired up with a female ace who’s unorthodox way of thinking and years of experience begins to enlighten the rookie. As Kawai learns more about the cop shop and who to do her job, she discovers that police work has unseen rewards and truly benefits the community. She also finds that there are good coworkers around her and they will back her up and look out for her. This is a comedy although I found the English translation hard to follow at times. It has some serious moments as well as awkward times but the underlying theme is always Japanese comedy. Basically each chapter is a short story. |
