Perhaps this was the reason why they added so many weird ideas and genres together and rushed through the story for that first season. Since they wanted to give us a quick glance into the world to set us up for a "Yasuke Cinematic Universe" of some kind. I guess Netflix must have gotten a good amount of viewership and buzz for the show if they are confident in making more anime about Yasuke. Though the reception here on MAL has been far from positive. I think this could turn out well, but they just need to make sure they properly set up the world building and make sure not to rush through future installments. Give them time to breathe. In regards to the historical aspect, well, that shipped has already sailed, but perhaps they can still incorporate other historical people and events in there. What do you think this entails? Just sequels based around Yasuke or perhaps also handing the torch to other characters to be the lead? Do you see this as a wise move? |

| I'm really surprised they are making it into a franchise considering the reception from the viewers was so negative even outside of Mal.Now this news is giving me the motivation to watch Yasuke because of the hate it was getting I wasn't having the motivation but now I do.Hope they fill out all the plot holes in the upcoming sequels.Thank you for the news. |

| If there's more, I can't say I'm looking forward to it but I'm honestly quite surprised they aren't gonna happily settle with just the usual 6-12 like some other netflix stuff does. Hopefully they can manage to deliver |
