Overall, I thought Akudama Drive was decent and appreciate it as an original anime. But being honest, I did not like the cast. Frankly just bad character writing all around.

Now what really spoke to me was the Courier motorcycle scenes. It was like straight out of a B-plot action film, just stupid over the top fun. Imagine the show with just Courier taking the job to escort the twins out of the city. That's way more manageable story than whatever they were trying to go for with the Akudama/Executioner plotline & Kanto reveal tacked on at the end.

I agree. It's just that all the characters were crackheads. A mixture of all crackheads you'll find in anime, very basic and not that well written. The animation was fine and the plot was ok. Now that I think about it, if courier was the main focus it would've become boring tbh because courier is the most basic chad introverted guy, you'll find tons of characters like him in Sasuke, Yuno etc. The female lead (I'm sorry I forgot the name, it's been months since I watched it) was the most unique out of them. She was a bit more to the mysterious side and gave depth

that's fair, and I do see your point about overloading the story. They definitely tried cramming in too much for 12 episodes😂

Yeah I agree with this I loved the cast to this show. It'd be so mid if it was just the bike guy.

I totally agree, it it had a plot similar to Cowboy Bebop but with the cyberpunk aesthetic, I think it could have been a lot better! But it was alright.

The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

fr courier was such a badass too bad he had little to nothing to his character besides "finishing the job no matter what".

the first episode hooked me so much because of his motorcycle lol. It would be so cool to see him become a badass and just saving the two children. Maybe then he could even have good writing lol.

No then it's not very much intresting like now swindler is very good and suit in main character I am satisfied with that roles.
