Ok, this epilogue was a lot raunchier and over the top than I expected. I never thought they'd go that far with graphic descriptions of sex in a manga that has been largely devoid of them. Funny as hell, but felt like it was the wrong manga almost, lol. I think Maki and Meguru will be at first be very vanilla and conventional with their lovemaking.
I suppose Hiroki Endo just wanted to end it on a light note.

It's been a great ride. I normally never, ever read or watch sports manga/anime. I find it boring and repetitive with more clichés than almost any other genre out there. ARM largely escapes all that. The tone is completely different, the action feels grounded in reality, the growth and development of fighters feels organic and proportional and the characters for the most part behave as people (Momoko and some of Maki's friends excluded, perhaps Takashi himself) instead of stock manga characters. No weird white haired super shounen antagonists here.

I'm not a MMA watcher, but I suppose Endo did his research and a lot of what is said is based on some sort of truth.

No mangaka can compare to Endo when it comes to giving his drawings kinetic energy. Since he'll probably never get anything animated because of his designs, he knows he has to convey a sense of motion and movement that few can match. I love his style.

Alas I can see that not many read his stuff. Makes me sad. I hope he still makes a good living anyhow.

Such a funny way to end the series, my only complaint is that it ended at all.

I loved this series but man the ending was a letdown. It feels very incomplete. There is no payoff to the yakuza subplot that was an early focus. The action was great and they gave just enough closure in the epilogue but overall there clearly is more story and too many plot threads were left dangling. There should have been so much more and i am sad this is an unfinished masterpiece.
