Here's some more info from an FAQ they recently posted

WITから独立した方達がまほよめを作るために設立したスタジオだよ。スタッフではキャラクターデザインの加藤さんや脚本の高羽さん始め、1期で関わってくれた人達もいるよ。若いスタジオだから一緒に応援してね。

Not that surprising that Studio Kafka took over production for season 2, as the studio was founded by former Studio Wit producers.

Although quick site note, how many studios is Twin Engine going to establish? It seems kind of redundant if you ask me.

Not enough material IMO , seems like they're going to catch up with most of what the manga covered until now since S1 ended.

Mage college introduces a lot of people and it's a decent arc so far.

I know. But if it really goes that way and it gets adapted into a couple of ovas it means there'll be even less material for a new season. Don't get me wrong i love were getting ovas, but i would rather just getting a new season. :P

Studio Kafka is a subsidiary of Twin Engine, but it is also a subsidiary of I.G Port, because for those who don't know, The Ancient Magus Bride belongs to Mag Garden, the publisher of the work that has the rights to it. Mag Garden is part of I.G Port, so these new OVAs are under the sponsorship of I.G Port.

So Kafka is both a subsidiary of Twin Engine and I.G Port and its subsidiaries (WIT, Signal MD).

Kafka belongs to WIT. It is not a Twin-only subsidiary. Down there I left some data from the producer itself.

whoa, do any of u guys feel that Elias is too tall here compared to the series? Here Elias said that Chise is grown up and become taller, that she's at the stomach level of Elias', however, in the series, "young" Chise height is about the chest level of Elias. Idk whether if this OVA is following the manga art or the new studio (yes, this studio is a debutant) is a little bit off of drawing.

Ah! I agree about that. And I think chise not growing up because elias too high in this OVA (actually chise growing up, but if she beside elias isn't). Maybe just elias , and another is fine.
I saw the chibi character which is now better and of course Chise is very beautiful and the visual effects are still good S1, but the graphics here are very good.

I was just in the news section and noticed that it'll be animated by a new studio, so I thought I'd come here to get my questions answered. And as I thought, someone has already created a thread about it. Thank you for doing so.

Is this a new studio that'll produce other anime, I need some context here. It's very impressive to me how the animation style is very consistent with that of the anime. At first I thought it's a new subdivision in Wit studio, but it turns out it's a completely new studio. I'm not familiar with the manga, so I'm not sure if the anime adapted the whole thing, but if they haven't, I wonder if this new studio will finish it.

I sometimes forget to finish my sentences.

The ova are an original story written by the author its not in the manga but the author is creating the story
