whats the difference between the buddha anime and manga?

i would like to know the difference between the two, i think this anime is interesting

Now according to your list you have already seen it, but I'll answer this just in case in the future someone asks themselves the same question. It has been a while since I saw the movie though, so my memory might be a little bit fussy.

The first thing is pacing. You see, the first volume of the manga isn't about Siddharta at all, but about Chapra - I think his story is shown in the movie, it is basically a prologue to 8th cenctury BC India. The thing is, in the movie Chapra's story is moved forward in time closer to Buddha's birth, making some characters like Tatta more younger than what they should be.

I don't think this is that big of an issue though, it makes sence that the studio would do that as a movie supposedly about Buddha not having him until the very very end would cause confusion in the audiences who didn't read the manga (which would very much be the main demographic watching the movie). Granted, I haven't seen the second movie, but from my memory all the problems the story could have from the time difference are later in the story enough that it would be covered by the third movie, which is currently in production hell from my understanding (that's another thing, story-wise the anime is incomplete, as it is supposedly a trilogy, that being said again I haven't seen the second movie so I do not know if it brings any sort of closure atleast).

Animation-wise I think they found the sweet spot between Osamu's original art style and a modern-anime looking artstyle, so whether if you are a fan of Tezuka's drawings or not you will anyway find a liking to it.

That is all that I can mention from the top of my head. Keep in mind I did read the manga before watching the movie, so I might be baised in favour of the former.
