I am kinda sick of this Mary Sue's cliché but I still have a little of hope in the development of this story.
The ending is heading to Misaki as the heroine but I wouldn't put my guard down just yet.

If Nejima ends out with Lili because of pity or because nothing could be done, I will hate this anime to death.

I like to post in manga forum when I feel it is worth it, so people will think. "Shit, is her again" or something.

People asked me where I read certain thing but the rules say no telling where did you read so maybe I am too boring for not saying? Or salty because you didn't check my profile that says don't ask because I hate people to ghost me after that. I love learning languages so maybe I did not read the manga in English.

The plot twist is so silly it is almost laughable. But it was fun up to a point. Why would they let him be in the scheme at all? Whover pairs up with him hasn't really been given a fair chance, what kind of system is this? I sometimes wonder about who writes some of this stuff, with all these dull protagonists having people falling over themselves to be with them at every corner. It really is their fantasy.

I suppose Misaki can't win, and it is clear why she was pushing him towards Lilina now, who looks like the best option for everyone. But she will know that she wasn't really his first choice. One person has to give him up, even though they love him the most. The other person is happy to stand by him, knowing that they were not his first choice.

He is as dull as dishwater, though, so he shouldn't be accepting the Lilina offer now. That would be using her life to sustain his. He needs to live on his own.

I was happy to accept the government scheme as a premise, but this twist is just silly, to be honest, they should have found a better way of creating this situation.

But, regardless of how much Lilina and MC have come to love each other, Misaki is clearly main girl and best girl. It is just a case of whether anyone will let her out of the scheme. But the author can pluck another twist out of his ass and have Misaki matched with Nisaka and then they can watch fireflies forever together and the two odd ones out can plot their futures from there.
