Goodness gracious, I can't believe I'm 2 months late reading this volume(just too busy lately), anyway...
I thought the last volume was depressing already but the tragedy continued to pile from there and this volume was the result of it.
Looking at the bright side first, there were those sweet moments and reminisce with Barbara where she force him to be an instructor too for the thieves guild. I'm seeing it as a foreshadowing of what's Haru's future is gonna be, like an after story bperhaps. But well, that's just a cliche endings lately but who knows...
Half of the relevance of this volume I would say was about getting to know who are the true culprits, mastermind, whatever and their accomplices. I didn't expect to see Shinohara amidst them at all. And looking at the last epilogue, it seems Leslie's objective is to bring back the No Life King but there's still no apparent reasons or plans told how they'll accomplish it so I'm curious to that as well. And there was also that interlude in the middle about the origins of Albarkia and Alterna but I'm just too tired right now to try figuring out what's the relation of it to the current events and why Hiyomu even bothered spoke of that tale. I can only guess that George and his sons actually landed in Parano and they're probably from Earth as well, just a guess alright....Please quote me if anyone have a theory about this.
Now for the adventure this time, I honestly thought Haru will be able to raid the whole Damuro by himself at the rate he was breaching in, but then shi* happened. Goblins seriously knows how to make a story thrilling on its own. Jokes aside, I don't really care about the whole deal with the goblins, the more pressing matter all this time around was their shackled relationship with Mogis, that guy is too much to deal with, honestly, I'm not even sure if Leslie can actually control that guy either. They're probably trying to use each other but for me, it looks like Mogis is the more clever one and Leslie is more about just brute forcing things making everyone forget their memories and turning them to a "monster" according to Alice and I guess that's what he's planning to Shihoru as well.
Lastly, the reunion with Ranta and Yume was so satisfying, at least for a good while until they all suffered defeat. But at least there's now a light at the end of the tunnel. I really missed this type of dynamic in the party. |
