| There's a LOT of material. Also, the last episode concluded the Xenos Arc. which means its absolutely perfect for the new arcs where we find out about some stuff. Something I would really like to address though, is I would love it if they stayed more true to the Novels. On Season 3, they skipped out on a LOT of stuff. And "nerfed" some of the fights or moments. Which lead them to "lack" the weight they should have had. I get it, this is not a dark series but damn! I'm sad that these moments didn't hit as hard as they did in the LN. That aside, I'm really craving for a Season 4! Also, answering your question, I'm quite sure we will have a season 4. I mean, this Anime has gotten pretty popular and it has a good story. |

Currently, there are enough volumes for a S4, and to not fuck it up, they should adapt 3 more volumes like on III, and end it on vol14, which would be an even bigger climax in a way, than III was. Outside those volumes, there is only 2 more out or planned to be released really soon (dunno the date of Danmachi vol16). A LOT material presumes you have like enough for at least 2 more seasons. | Well it depends on a lot of factors. After s1 aired their was big influx of danmachi merchandise as well as a massive increase in the sales of the source material. The reason it took so long for s2 to air is that it probably has to do with a combination of factors that one the original 1st season was made as a source material seller at best as they would not be sure it will be successful a lot of adaptations go this route. Once it was proven that it was indeed a success they had to wait for a time slot to be booked plus for the production to get going again and allow the source material to go further out in the story. This was probably also one of the reasons why Sword Of Otario was the one they released after this as well as the movie so as to keep the fanbase alive and maybe secure a little extra funding. S2 aired and after it was finished s3 got announced so odds are good they were made back to back and so far it still seems to be successful. Now it is a matter of again seeing the final results in how much the series has become successful after all of this and we probably have to wait a bit more as the production probably has to start from the beggining again. Book a new timeslot,new voice actors, animation, music as well as monitor book and merchandise sales to see if it cover the costs. The ova pretty much was already scheduled to air it is more or less just a bonus story that will come after the final volume release to give a little extra incentive for people to buy it separate not to mention to give fan service lovers something as their always a fan service ova release after each season. So now we wait and see if something is announced after the ova if not, do not despair their is still a good chance later down the road. I mean it already got 3 Season and 3 Ovas plus one spin off series and Movie that is a lot more content adapted than most anime so their does seem to be a consistent demand for more. |
