| THIS IS A LIGHT NOVEL ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS VOLUME. ---------------------------------------- A very SoL:ish volume which I don't really mind because we've had nonstop action for a while now I'm not a fan of bundling all of the backstories all together like this but it wasn't badly executed Ryu's chapter with Bell was exceptional! The author has driven himself into a corner with so many best girls A very nice view into the world of Danmachi once again with us getting a few peaks into how life is outside of Orario as well as the festival at the end Looks like we'll be going back into the main story by the next volume, can't wait! |

| A huge break from the last volume. No dungeon diving, but more of a background and origin kind of story. It helps to flesh the characters out more and give them much needed characterization (specially the likes of Elnia or Haruhime). It was great seeing Lily finally levelling up after so many years. Welf is such a dumb-ass. Haephaistos was ready to give him some sweet loving and he was completely oblivious about it. Tsubaki is going to have to lock those two up in a room and give them an aphrodisiac before anything can happen. I cannot help but feeling that Aiz might no longer end up being the girl Bell ends up with. I get the feeling that real life and her single minded devotion to revenge will keep her and Bell from ever hooking up. Ryuu might be more suitable and accessible for him in many ways. |

| The bits with Lyu/Ryu where the best tbh but some other stories were also interesting, all said, this was at least better than vol8. |
