| I have no idea where your friend read that but it is japanese, produced by japanese studios. TMS Entertainment (who recently did Dr Stone, Fruits Basket and a looooot more.) and Quebico which is a japanese CGI studio. |

| Biohazard/Resident Evil is always meant to be a Japanese series created by Japanese gaming studio (Capcom). The only difference is unlike most of the Japanese game series, RE only contains the English voices because the creator of this series thought Japanese voices doesn't fit the characters well, and it's characters never had their Japanese voice actors until the release of Marvel vs Capcom 3, or if we just talk about the RE games then Revelations is the first game ever featured Japanese voice acting. I guess your friend being mistakenly thought this is america animation is mostly due to the fact RE is more well-known with it's English voice acting than the Japanese one, that and maybe how the RE characters always looked more western-ish compared to any other Japanese anime and video games. |
