Volume 9 release + Possible new artist

It was recently announced that Volume 9 would be released in October, so fortunately we don't have to wait a long time after volume 8 is done being translated. Also, on August 7, the @irumaniafamily Twitter account made a poll saying "It looks like the artist for Adashima volume 9 will change, who would you like to be the new artist?" and then listed Moke, Mani, Shizue Kaneko and other (A lot of people suggested Yukiko Horiguchi). What are your thoughts?

Mokes art is great but I think it'd be too much work for her considering she draws the manga, so I'd definitely go with Mani since they were the person who made the original after all and this is a good chance for them, don't know who yukiko is though but I'd like to see.

I think it's high likely that Mani will be the illustrator
Edit: I'm such an idiot I voted moke and thought the poll was about our favorite illustrator and moved on without bothering to translate it AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

that's hilarious!

Yukiko Horiguchi worked on K-On! and 22/7 (these are the ones I know) and she's amazing!

I agreed that it'd be too much work for Moke, who's being great at the manga adaptation. But I also believe vol. 9 will be the last volume of the series, so at the same time, it wouldn't be like he'd need to commit after vol. 9.

I don't think volume 10 is coming anytime soon its volume 9 came out only 3 months ago

Looking at wikipedia for the past releases it kind of looks a bit all over the place since there was a big gap between vol 7 and 8 since the author was busy with other works I presume.
I think the author is more focused on Adachi and Shimamura now so I presume that it should come out mid or late this year.

Gotta say, I was let down by volume 9. The first 170+ pages felt like bonus chapters. I'm not opposed to reading about Hino and Nagafuji's story but I didn't want that much of it at one time. Spread it out better. I'm also noticing a growing trend here with the author over the last 2 novels. Not only are they getting shorter, it also feels like certain parts are being rushed. This leads me to suspect that the author is growing tired of the series. I read these 9 volumes back to back in the span of a week so that really stuck out to me after just finishing 9.

The last two chapters covered Adachi and Shimamura but both chapters felt very rushed to me.

I don't know, maybe my concerns are premature. I can't wait to see what volume 10 will be. I hope it's 300+ pages and full of Adachi/Shimamura moments. Otherwise the disappointment I'll experience will be awful.
