| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Heavenly Bird Much better than the pilot. Still not good, like, not even slightly, but better than the pilot. It's obvious that this show is darker than it appears on the surface. He did not want to eat that bird, he was just in a desperate state where he had to choose between respecting the dead or starving to death. It reminds me of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 which had crashed in the Andes Mountains and the survivors had to eat their fellow passengers to keep from starving. It is all hidden in the surreal animation, its just so ugly that it is difficult for me to get over that part. |
