Why blame the animation?

Honestly, are we watching the same series? First season was brilliant, second was also very good but giving serious "generic shonen vibes with its power levels"

So now that we're on the third season, what do we have? We have the most awfully generic battle shonen of them all. It's completely devoid of the charm the previous seasons had. Battle power levels en masse, idiotic villains rambling and rambling, side characters explaining who is winning or going to win fights, even revealing crap before they happen.

I'll be honest. It went from being something i binged to something i just can't stomach. Absolutely terrible.

The only thing i've enjoyed have been the reveals, but the bad of this season is outshining everything

I completely agree,

the animation isn't all that bad if you think about it too,rushed schedule,low budget and small animation studio they could have totally gave up and just put up 26 eps of full 3d scuffed cgi and overall except for most of the fighting scenes it doesn't look that bad just below average,i'll never give shit to the studio,still fuck Deen and the editors for basically forcing their hand to create this third season.

The story on the other hand went to full shit from the final part of season 1,the only good thing coming were some characters backstory but the main one went sooooo bad like did the author gave up? the mystery behind Meliodas,what they did to Elizabeth,all that 3000 year old bullshit,the worst power level system ever made,basic muh evil antagonist that when replaced become powerless (proof with this weeks episode),i used to love Nanatsu no Taizai i really felt it was a refreshment in the nekketsu department but it went full Naruto Shippuden/Bleach mode and i just can't anymore

I can't wait to finish this season and absolutely never go back to this.

While I liked the reveal of the Ten Commandments a lot, what I really don't like about S2 onwards is how dependent the whole story's become to power levels and everything related to that.

I currently have no idea about the contents of the S3 but if it depends on the power level system way more than it previously did, I suppose I can agree with you about the animation not being the only weakpoint. The only problem about that though is how cheap it looks which is very unfortunate considering its circumstances.
