| why was shirleys fate changed from the og tv series, doesn't make any sense why she he was kept alive after this movie, wasnt her death in the og tv series supposed to be one of the trigger that drove lelouch forward, how does not killing her off help this sequel or contributes to the storyline? it feels like the recap movies were made with the one motive of saving shirley lmao, id much rather prefer her staying dead like euphy and also lelouch, euphy cuz her death triggered a huge event in the cg universe, while lelouch shouldve stayed dead cuz it would have been his legacy and the greatest ending in the history of entertainment, anyway i will see this movie as a sequel only to the recap movies and not the og anime cuz the og anime was over 12 years ago and the legacy of leouch lives on, this movie just covers the alternate ending where lelouch survives just my opinion tho ps - so happy that lelouch and cc ended up together, shipped them so bad |

| Simple answer: Shirley was kept alive in the summary movies mostly due to lack of time. Since Mao doesn't appear, there isn't enough time to build up to her death. |
