If anyone else is in Tokyo, there's a "revival screening" happening at Shimokitazawa Tollywood from November 21st to 27th. The director will be there on the first and last day to take questions.

I don't think this news is relevant for most people reading this forum, but at least the screening is a sign that the movie hasn't been forgotten. Maybe it will be on DVD soon?

I ended up going to the revival screening yesterday (the final day.) The director didn't take questions, like I previously said. The site did say that it would only be a "director greeting", but seeing how intimate the theater was, I figured it would turn into a Q&A session. So I over zealously translated my previous post. Sorry.

The director just gave a quick five minute speech about how he was so happy people were still interested in this 3 year old project. He also said that the Blu-ray would be on sale this year.

I checked the official Twitter today, and there was a shop with the blu-ray available for order, but only until December 17th. The blu-ray comes with a ton of extra features, English and French subtitles, and they welcome international order through Tenso, a proxy service.

This is a really good movie. It's a bit disjointed, and the sound effects didn't match the animation at times, but animation itself is breathtaking and omg, the feels you guys. I've never cried so much at a movie in public. Four women around me were sobbing too. It's a really beautiful film.

If you have any interest in seeing this at all, buy the blu-ray and support smaller animation studios putting out quality work. I will be.

The director also said that there will also be a screening to commemorate the blu-ray release at Shimokitazawa Tollywood on December 19th.
