THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

----------------------------------------

The start of the series is quite promising, at least that is how it appears in the first few minutes, then you immediately understand how the narration ends "with tarallucci and wine" as they say in our area. The story, albeit imaginative, can also seem credible and, I emphasize it may seem, because the pirate "fairy tale" made me laugh a lot, and one immediately understands the gruff and funny style of the enemy, Professor Moriarty.

P.S. With this episode, I will now be more regular with watching the episode in the right order, too.

P.S. Sorry if it took you a while to reply, but I was busy in other matters. Thanks for stopping by here, at least all the effort I put into creating the topics served something.

Bye bye! :)

This seems to be a great hidden gem of a series, which is surprising seeing as it was directed by arguably the best anime director Hayao Miyazaki. The english dub is well done, and definitely what id recommend for english speaking audience(particularly due to the setting). Wish i had seen this when i was a young kid, would have absolutely loved it. Its actually not particularly childish though, and can be enjoyed by any age. Its very reminiscent of early Lupin the Third, for good reason a lot of the staff are the same. It has the occasional gun fight which would not be allowed in modern kids shows. Highly recommend this series, it should be more highly regarded among anime fans in my opinion. The pre ghibli Miyazaki anime are actually my favorites of his, dont know why I waited so long to watch this.
