| Before watching this movie, how far in the the manga should I read before watching? Cz im still curently reading up to chapter 325. I dont want to get some unknown character show up in the movie when they havent introduced in the manga yet... I saw in the trailer that Kid talk with konan in a friendly manner, but in manga, they still dont act friendly to each other yet.. |

| This movie came out sometime when the manga was at 1000+ chapters. However, I would not say you have to read that much if you want to watch it. Since the movie takes place in Singapore and not Japan, not as many characters from the series will show up. The only important characters that show up are: Conan, Kid, Ran, Kogoro, Sonoko, and Makoto. (And Haibara and Agasa and the Detective Boys, though in only, like, two scenes) I wouldn't say there's any spoilers surrounding Kid and Conan...from where you're at in the manga, their rivalry does have a bit of the way to go and develop. In this movie, it's really just that they're temporarily working together to stop a bigger evil. Even though the movies aren't canon, I think the anime studio does take into account where the story is. So while their rivalry/respect for each other has been much developed by that point...honestly, with what I've described, I think it's really up to you if you want to go for it, at least in terms of Kid and Conan's rivalry/friendliness within the move. It's not really "spoilers" per-say, but I see where you're coming from and why you're not sure. (I counted, and Kid has about 12 more heists (currently) in the manga from where you're at, the latest one ended at Chapter 1021) Whatever you decide to do, I hope you enjoy both the manga and the movie (whenever you watch it)! |
