I mean I get the lolicon joke characters but the synopsis for this makes it seem like a serious (female) lolicon drama?

Some of the things the MC does seem creepy, especially at the beginning, and might suggest that she has a crush on one of the kids, but she’s not sexually attracted to her. It’s more like a “omg she’s so cute” kind of crush. Beside that most of the show is just a cute comedy about an older sister spending time with her younger sister and her classmates, so give the show a chance if you’re into CGDCT.

Uh... I think she genuinely is sexually attracted to her. It's a show about a paedo for paedophiles lol

On the one side I would argue that the anime is less about sexual attraction than is trying to portait a form of 'love' that is transcending usual societal stereotypes - but on the other side; it never really tries to explain this concept - so the end result presents itself more like an anime with a female lolicon protagonist that is just highly self-aware of how 'creepy' und uncomfortable some of it scenes might feel.

So while it fails in delivering a moral or even philosophical statement, it at least manages to deliver some over the top lolicon stereotypes that makes you laugh. And it does it pretty good I must say - I was surprised how just some little adjustments to old anime stereotypes can bring a fresh breeze that is really entertaining without re-inventing the wheel.

So if the protagonist really should be portrait as lolicon - or if the anime is just hinting such thing for the comedic value - is pretty much open from watching the anime in itself. (I have no clue if there exists source material that could give insight in what the creator wants to tell us - so I have to go with the anime alone) But it's pretty much clear that it ISN'T a 'drama' - neither in the classic way, nor in the modern interpretation of displaying human suffering or similar.

So if one can get over the slightly awkward scenes where the lolicon aspect is on display for comedic reasons, they get some light-hearted and technically above average anime. Nothing to write home about - but neither something that make you feel like you're wasting your time. And it spares you some unreasonable and stupid endings like Oreime did as an example - so there's that... :)
