| I really don't know why, but something about this manga makes me seriously uncomfortable. Not so much with this chapter as with some of the others (7 in particular), but something about it all really unnerves me. For this chapter, it's the empty block of flats Shimeji and her sister live in, and how they can only get in through the back door/veranda. It's like... everything is off about this series, but not in a major way; it's like an accumulation of small things I'd consider "off" that silently builds up into a crescendo of miscomfort. Nothing has ever made me feel like this without clear and apparent reasons (that's certainly how it was with Tsukumizu's other work, Girls' Last Tour, anyway), so I'm not really sure what to make of it all. Well, at the very least, I'm curious about what Shimeji's sister is having them help her build, though I also have a seriously bad feeling about it too. |

| @Atavistic Funny, I get the same uncanny sense from both works, but I find it strangely relaxing. Perhaps it's the sense of alienness that makes it feel nostalgically familiar. |
