No japanese version on netflix? Why?

It says English (original) in the language and subtitles section. Is it? Or is that netflix screwing with us like with the movie mary and the witch flower? (It says the same for that movie and it was originally in japanese, not english).

Just change your profile language to Japanese, then you'll be able to watch in Japanese! :) But JP cast did confirm English is the original language, they said they had trouble dubbing over the English text.

The Japanese was pretty good in my opinion, I only notice a few really minor error on lyp sinc the one time stopped to pay attention.

Also it's great that on Japanese dub they are using everybody original name, like Ikki instead of Nero, and Saori instead of Siena.

Thanks! I'm so busy right now that I didn't had time to check it yet. I'm off in two days can't wait to watch it. I'm kind of hype for this one xD I'm not really a fan of the serie. Didn't enjoy lost canvas, neither did I liked the original serie or the golden one, but since everyone's bashing it maybe I'll like this one lol XD I so want to like one of saint seiya adaptation lol

If you're watching it with subs, keep in mind they were based in the English (original) text. They differ A LOT from what characters says in Japanese. Anyways, have fun! :)

Yes, it is. Eugene Son is the writer for this reboot.

I'm actually really enjoying this xD Both japanese and english dub are pretty good. A shame that the score won't get much higher than this because fans don't like that it differs from the original work. It really is an entertaining adaptation and for the first time I'm craving more saint seiya xD

You were right, the subtitles differs a lot from what the characters are actualy saying xD But nevertheless it was pretty enjoyable ^^ Looking foward to the next 6 episodes!

I tried to watch it in japanese, since I'm used to seiyu (some of them reprising roles since 80s), but it was hard to follow with english subs not following correctly what seiyu are saying.

Yes, JP cast said at Anime Japan 2019 that the English script was the original and they had some trouble adapting it.

I'm honestly having a lot of trouble watching this series, I want to Watch It in japanese and thats what im doing (Just finished Ep 10) but the subtitles conflict so hard with what its actually being said Is ridicolous.
Besides this the series got much Better, It's still a bit rushed (shiryu decides in a matter of seconds to blind himself) but not to the same extent as the First 6 episodes and the dumb military plotline seems to be completely gone for now.
My biggest gripe still are the casual cosmo blasts thrown around, they look like shit and have literally no impact, also what Is Blood?

The subs differ bc they translate the original audio: English.
