It seems like there are no discussion topics for volume 2-9. I have to say, the author does a good job of depicting Haruhi as scum and makes many of us loathe her. I think that's a part of her development that might be dwelled upon later. The scene where Kyon got mad at Haruhi was better executed in the anime and felt quite rushed here, considering the impact it had on Haruhi.

The story itself was nothing special this volume on the surface. I do understand the setting a bit better and it seems that not everyone can be trusted. Seeing how different Asahina will be in the future makes it seem like everything's a ploy that she'll end up regretting. Good foreshadowing! 4/5
