| Boku Girl is a manga where a guy is struggling of becoming a girl as well as what a girl should do and finally began to accept being a girl. After finished that, I yearn for more, what happen after 'she' accept being a girl and start dating? Boku Girl ends right at here. So, I pick up this manga and found that surprisingly this is a good continuation for Boku Girl as Nao has completely accept being a girl. This manga also show the dating part and struggling of being together with opposite sex where Boku Girl left off. There is also where they married as well as give birth to a child. I always like this ending for any romance where 99% of romance out there doesn't do this. However, there are 2 things I feel disappointed! 1. Lack of Romance drama As shown throughout the story, both Nao and Kyousuke are worrying about whether they will stop loving each other and fall in love with another people. I think this is just great to actually put this plot into the story. At least, it should show us that how it was important to each other unless they went through some sort of romance drama. Either Nao or Kyousuke should waver a little bit for 3rd party involved, a kind of 'cheating' and struggle situation. After they went through the hardship and finally got to be together and marry each other to get happy end. 2. The self-reproduction plot Although Nene is clearly resembles to Kyousuke but author should at least show us whether the child is Kyousuke's or Nao's self-reproduction off screen. I don't really see the point of dragging a few more chapters with this pointless plot that doesn't let us know the result. Overall a good continuation of Boku Girl but lack of drama content/plot as well as kinda pointless ending with the child and self-reproduction thingy. |
