Sawamura pitched 5 innings and gave up no runs Furuya took over at the 6th and Tetsuya's lil bro closed the game early with a home run! Now everyone is talking about him - I knew he would be a beast! Everyone is gearing up for the next game.

Classic Sawamura accidentally hit the opponent lol

Furuya seems to be going in a bad direction...

Amahisa looks really tough when he's in top form.

I didn't like too long sequence before opening. I mean there was too much or recap/nothing happen scene and it was a bit waste of episodes time. But on the other side that sequence before ending was very good. First years in different places realizing what it really means to be a part of Seido. Asada is cool!

Anyone else got this feeling like now the best what we got is scenes in training grounds and in cafeteria/dormitory? Somehow those matches are lacking emotions and tension. Hopefully that will change very soon in next game.

I was afraid Sawamura would crumble again after that dead ball, I was wrong.

The talk near the end of the episode shows that injuries can really be impactful to an athlete's career. A harsh reality to know.

I like this episode! Got some chills from the match. And it looks like Sawamura unknowingly manage to earn one of his junior's respect!

I actually really like the preview too! It says a lot about what's gonna happen in the next episode and yet at the same time it doesn't leak much spoilers. I'm excited for the next episode!

I can totally relate. The type of chills that the past seasons' matches gave was quite unforgettable. But I remember someone mentioning that the current matches aren't really supposed to be much of the highlight for this season so I'm fine with it so far (were you that person that wrote something like that in the past episode discussion? Sorry if it isn't cuz it felt familiar xD).

Of course, I love the interaction scenes in the past seasons too as much as this season. I think the quality of it is retained.

Great episode as always.

I can't stress how much I love the OST in this series, they use it so well to hype up the moments. Furuya beginning to pitch was awesome.

The final sequence before the ending was very nice. :)

Ichidai vs Seido should be very exciting.

Well I wrote it once or twice that begining of the season was fast paced just like manga and then few games are also not that important cause this isn't any "big" tournament. It's more like a qualifier/eliminations to Kanto Tournament.

Yeap that's the one! Since I did not read the manga, I was only expecting the semi-final or the final match to be the exciting ones (though arguably some of the matches thus far could have been really well made imo but were just skimmed through).

I too hope the next match would be back to what it was, like in the past.

The preview of the next episode is really revealing, Furuya only want to pitch with Miyuki and that put his first year roommate whom I forget his name really mad, but he's still make a face like nothing happened and everything is under his control, just like Miyuki when he analyze other match to Furuya and Sawamura.

One doesn't need to read the manga to understand that these matches aren't of importance. Also I appreciate the moments at the dorm and getting to know all those new character, who will certainly play a bigger role, once the 3rd years are gone.

I felt the same way, they are spending too much time showing the unimportant games.

So many scenes could of been cut out this episode to pave the way for extra content, its crazy.

And whats up with showing Ichidia vs that other school for so long? We already assumed who was going to win, I don't know, I just don't like how they stretch non important games, I feel like I will miss some important development if I skip them but after its finished. nothing happens.

Say it ain't so :{

Miyuki-Senpai! Don't LEAVE ME!

God those episodes are going to be heartbreaking.

OT: And those first years, they really do have a lot of personality, and they already seem more "vibrant and original" in my opinion than the previous 3rd years already, so when they finally get their chances, I can't wait.

Well, it will happen eventually. I gonna miss Kuramochi the most when it comes down to it.

PS: I haven't read the manga.

Yeah... Kuramochi and Miyuki will be missed as f**k. But there is still long way for Seido with them both in team :) but damn it! I think I will cry like I did when Tetsu, Cris, Ryo-san and Isashiki aka Spitz senpai ended their school year :(

Miyuki was walked, but Shirasu and Maezono made sure to hit those balls during their turns. Masashi was amazing too, he finally hit big after striking out twice, closing the match and proving how amazing he is. Oh, and that Amahisa is better than before too, but a lot of pitchers have been keeping the other teams at 0, and it's losing a bit of value, but I'm sure a suspenseful and cool match will eventually happen here, maybe the next one already.

And the wolf boy continues to be bratty. He is "disappointed" in Sawamura when he doesn't even really know him, but I guess this is going to be solved by the next episode. He will probably end up becoming a battery with Sawamura. And I feel bad for Kaoru, he wants to catch for Furuya, but Furuya only wants to pitch for Miyuki, since it won't feel as good if the catcher can't, well, catch. But his pitching is still unstable too, let's hope he won't have a really "bad day" when it counts.

Furuya is as selfish as the first time.
Hope it's not going to destroy him after all that buildup

I really love the dynamics between our Wolf boi and Eijun! XD

I mean, I re-watched the whole series just to see them again. Manga is finished now. Hoping there would be a sequel to Act II soon. :>

Please don’t start with this again, Eijun hitting people.

Is that Yuki talking from heaven or something.

Masahi has done it! And in his debut day.

“No reason” broo why are you being so stubborn

I’m glad one of the first years acknowledged Eijun.

Es irritante que Furuya sea la estrella cuando solo sabe tirar rápido, literalmente sawamura tiene un montón de lanzamientos y tiene mejor control, pero lo siguen subestimando y dejándolo en banca. Qué frustrante
