PV is out!

Fyodor centric episode.
It seems they’re jumping straight into the plot and not adapting the chapter where the ADA snuffs out a gang manipulated by Fyodor as well as kyouka and ataushi side story (those are better as OVAs though), and katai’s introduction may be re-arranged considering it’s before the chapter adapted in next episode, but we’ll see.

Looking at the very first PV for season 3 they did show parts of chapter 38 there but it was very quick. They probably won't be adapting them in chronological order, at least chapters 38-42, but I do hope they don't skip Atsushi and Kyouka's backstory.

Also, I can't wait to watch Fyodor play poker with Ace.

Damn, the production quality in this show never fails - love Bungo. Anyone think I'm missing out by not reading source or do you think the majority is covered in the anime?
Can I offer you an egg is this trying time?

Oh you should definitely read the manga. Anime tends to skip many interesting parts and if i understand correctly bones will try to animate the whole cannibalism arc which is around 18 chapters. it's pretty much content for only 9 episodes.

I agree that the manga is superior. However, I actually disagree that the anime skipped many parts, and I’ve read the manga. What the anime tends to do is just skip little character details that are cool to have cause they add to the characters, but it’s nothing that harms the story and its characters in the overall picture. For example, Kouyou’s conversation with Mori over why she despised the previous boss was skipped. It is indicated in the anime (just like the manga) that she had a similar tragic background to Kyouka since she speaks in a relatable manner to her in episode 5 of S2, and it’s the reason she’s protective of her, but anime didn’t fully explore it through her conversation with Mori.

As they said, You're not missing out a lot but If you want to get a full, rich picture of the characters and their background story (If you are really into it) then I adv you to read the manga and the novels too, If you don't want to read the novel then there's wiki fandom pages of each of the main characters, Their background is written in it for example how Akutagawa joined Port Mafia and why, Stuff like that if you're interested in it and the Anime is pretty much perfect without reading anything, I'm hooked on it since the beginning but I got really hooked once I realized how rich the background of literally everything in it.
