Dete's kidnapping was a success, and poor Heidi is already in contact with a not so kind world. Her kindness in the train was misunderstood and now she was abandoned all alone in a mansion where even the servants seem to think that they are better than her. At least Clara seems to be a nice girl.

This anime really breaks me down, the emotional moments are nailed and heidi is very endearing. This moment where she realizes she has been lied to and tries to run away is just too much.
Then she is introduced to the new house in Frankfurt, her honesty and directness is so cute

Poor Heidi. Her sheltered life in the mountains, which vastly limited her human contacts, isn't doing any wonders for her in this new world she has been thrust in. Her kind gesture back in the train has been mistaken for rudeness and was frowned on. Her precious honesty when being interviewed by that "mean-looking" lady, while cute, isn't racking up bonus points with her. Her only salvation is to hang out with Clara and make them see the changes she brought for this sick chair-ridden child. That would be a difficult task considering Heidi's lack of noble etiquettes, which I am sure would give her a hard time with the occupants of the house. Like, did you see the look on that random maid's face? She looked so stuck up and egotistic. Anyhow, I am sure Heidi will pull through in the end.

Somehow the scene on the train where Heidi watches her beloved Alps from afar really moved me a lot.
Cried hard. Great episode.
