| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I was quite off the mark with my prediction last chapter that Scina was turning the children into rats, lol. So in the end they are not the bad guys, but the hunter is. Using that flute and hypnotizing chidren and rats alike is obviously a reference to the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Wul's attack is named "Durathror Noi: The Peace-devouring Stag". Durathror, in norse mythology, is one of the four deers that eat among the branches of the World Tree Yggdrasill. "Noi" simply means the name Noah in old norse, but I don't know if that was the meaning intended by author, I just can't see any meaning from that. This chapter brings the end of volume 2 and I hope that at least we'll be able to see the end of this story. The third volume, already released in Japan, will be the last "official" volume of the manga. By official I just mean published by a company, the author said she will self-publish the rest of the manga. I'm just afraid we'll have to rely on unofficial translations and who knows if some group will be interested in translating Mogi's doujins. :( |
