Per the title, I don't know why, but I have teared up or straight up cried my eyes out during each new episode. Something about the way Haru is personified really touches me. I feel like maybe it's me projecting the (borderline) fantasy onto my own cats and imagining that they think/feel the same way about me, but this show is emotionally ruining me. Curious if other people feel similarly or if I'm just a fricken' loser.

The show it is indeed heartwarming and wholesome, but in my case, i haven't had that feeling, maybe because I've never been really that attached to any pet I had.

It's the same for me... especially with the latest episode when [SPOILER] it's implemented, that one of her brothers died while the second one got away.

Its' so sad T^T

Only Episode 4 made me tear up a bit but there’s no doubts that there’s been some teary moments every now and then.
I adore cats endlessly and have always wanted to keep one and this show just rekindles all those feelings, can’t wait till I leave my parents home and get a cat for myself in my personal home(with a lot of merch, too, of course).

Yeah, absolutely love this show. Latest episode had me crying. I'm also a big cat lover with three cats, and Haru is just so adorable.

I've read that cats actually see their owners as cats also, so if that's true then they wouldn't see you as an "other" the way Haru sees Subaru.

No, not just you feel that way. Me too. The show (manga as well) are so touching that i think even the hard-hearted can bring tears in eyes.

It's not just you Helifano, same here.

Also showing emotion doesn't make anyone a loser, not showing emotion is what makes a loser.

Not showing emotions is going against your nature. It is basically refusing to deal on how your brain perceives things or even acknowledging that it does.

In the form of an analogy, it would be like saying that having wings means that a bird is weak. It is simply their nature. Being weak and folly would be a bird trying to refuse that it has wings.

The only pet I've ever had is a praying mantis and this show still makes me cry almost every episode.

This show is such a surprise and you're right!

I just watched it because I love cats. But showing the same things happening fgrom the cat's point of view was so delightful. The cat wanting to feed her master was soooooo adorable.

That guy annoys me so much. I beg anyone out there that acts like ihm to go to your doctor and get medication because it will help you deal with the world.

I only started keeping track with episode 3... but every episode starting with that, I've cried at least once. (I just finished Episode 9; I should complete the series before I go to bed tonight; it's 7:00 PM my time just now.)

This is now one of my top Anime series.
The others?
Ballroom e Youkoso
Demi-chan wa Kataritai
Gamers!
Hibike! Euphonium
Netojuu no Susume

One might notice a trend there; relationships are important to me.

For sentimental reasons I should add
Kimagure Orange☆Road
Maison Ikkoku

Those were amongst the first Anime I watched, back in 1988.

Anyway.
There is just so much to get out of every episode of this anime, I'm completely blown away. And the switching POV between Subaru & Haru, seeing each day through each of their eyes, without that it wouldn't have anywhere near the impact.

It hit me hard too. Especially the flashback in episode 3, I just finished this series and this would be one of my favorite. A hidden gem behind the meta series.

Definitly a hidden gem, it was great! I own a dog and loved the fact that they showed their perspective to. It's such a well thought out anime for a slice of life, all the little storylines and people mish mashing.
And subaru is probably one of the best characters I've seen as far as self development, I didn't like his loner--ness from his parents but man when he became self aware.
The show was great and it was heartwarming and it was even cooler to be able to see just about every single persons view point. Fucking fantastic show.

I slept on this for way too long, as an introvert who would rather read or write than go out with people and having my first cat...I just wish mine was as nice as haru I think mine is more like the assassin cat

I literally cried watching all 12 of 12 episodes. I kept track of this in my spreadsheet.
