Episodes 1-4 were the best

I thought that the anime was going to be a sleeper hit because I thoroughly enjoyed the first four episodes up until Narumi vanished. From then on, the pacing was too quick and I understand that the studio has to adapt hundreds of chapters into 36 episodes but it's hard to formulate a cohesive storyline and build any meaningful relationships with any of the characters. They are introduced in one episode only to get killed off in the next.

Furthermore, the lack of focus on Shirogane and Masaru is disappointing. I just wished that the anime would provide a smoother transition from Narumi's side of the story to Shirogane and Masaru's. This reminds me a little of One Piece in the sense that, during the simpler times, it was an amazing heartwarming journey that everyone could be a part of. To watch the characters grow and develop.

Nah, the first few chapters were quite bad too. Narumi and Shirogane suddenly fall in love for no reason (I guess the author thought he needs to have that forced romance between two characters that initially 'hated' each other like in Ushio to Tora) and the MC literally survives after jumping from the highest floor of a mansion because the trees apparenly cushioned the fall. There's that and the whole ZONAPHA syndrome which make everything just dumber.

Yes, I had similar impression. Introduction to a bigger plot seemed intriguing at first but then it started to get on my nerves, so I stopped watching after 11th episode. I would have liked more focus on Masaru and Shirogane too. Even though Narumi is also an interesting character, the story itself became kinda messy and dull.

Exactly the first episodes were amazing but the story sucks now Masaru and shirogane are not getting character development,the villains are a joke and i don't know where This anime is trying to go ,many new characters were just there they all died i didn't care about them,it just feels like the anime should end now

I totally agree with this!
I wish the series didn't change how it was, with new characters that seem irrelevant whom I don't even remember.
It was going to be really good, but just turned out to be a disappointment ;-;

After getting up to scratch with the series, I think I would change my initial narrative because of how the whole story was tied up. It started off well and became choppy somewhere in the middle with the flashbacks and confusion of characters but as the pieces started to come together and the storyline became more clear, I found myself enjoying the series again as we get to see the three main characters on parallel missions. Plus, the character development through flashbacks later in the series really worked for me. Overall, I would say that it's not as bad as I thought it would turn out hence a solid series.
