Don't you mean lack of facial expressions? I feel like they're always lacking facial expression. At points they're supposed to be sad but they still look happy. In fact they pretty much always have the same face no matter what emotions they go through.

Also no one pointed the butter knife at the very start. At least it was supposed to be a knife, not even sure how to describe what was that thing that was supposed to be a knife. The handle looked to be higher than the rest, then when he moved, it magically changed shape.

That's all fine and funny, but is it really worse than Twinkle Nora Rock Me? That show, may have had a bit more consistency and since it's from the middle ages of anime, is not having any clipping or texture problems, but is it worse than just half the frames and poor color-scheming?
