 A rather sizable settlement on Thursot Island. It has seen excellent economic growth, due to a massive tourism industry and it's key position along oceanic trade routes and aquatic migration patterns. A strange but unique melding of island paradise and urban jungle. It has a notably high population of Extraterrestrials living here. |

Alexis Malachite Status: Looking for an Excuse... Leaving the building, Alexis saw the early shade of red peer over the horizon. Its almost the break of dawn. Well, this way. Alexis turned to look at Ceylan and Aliza. Name's Alexis by the way, dont recall if I introduced myself. She pulled up a map on her MHPT to get her bearings, and then began walking. Now that she knew hwere she was and the direction to a key landmark of hers, she knew how to get there. After a bit of a trek, they arrived at a very nice bar. The establishment was most certainly alien in design. The building doesnt have rectangular corners, but makes use of slopes and curves in fluid vectors. The building is made of a silvery metal, glass, and strange motionless waterfalls. The lighting is pale and blue, gentle on the eyes. The building is packed. Lots of people holding cups with a strange blue liquid, identical to the stuff that Eliza saw in her vision. Welcome to Vox Solaris, the only legit source of Mach Allimer on Earth. |

Aliza had already introduced herself, so she didn't need to reply to Alexis, but Ceylan hadn't. “I'm Ceylan.” He figured he might as well keep it short, since this was mostly between Aliza and Alexis. They soon arrived at a place that seemed to be quite a bit over-budget. Considering they have to start off broke, unless that is changes soon. “March Allimer? Is that what the drink is called?” At this rate, it seemed like the answer to her riddle might be fairly pleasant~ Find the blue liquid and down it! After all the stuff was identical to what she could recall. In either case, she'd scan around the building to see if she could spot the women she'd seen in her vision. Meanwhile, Ceylan was wrecking his mind over their options regarding their financial situation. |
Alexis Malachite Status: Could be a little less Sober... A pleasure Ceylan. She had said, looking back at him. Eliza seemed on point, and Alexis nodded to her Question. Mhm~ Mach Allimer. The most coveted drink there is, on earth and beyond, at least to people like me. Addictive, but lacks withdrawals and long-term effects. But fear not, it works a lot like alcohol. Just quicker, better tasting, and without the hangover. A bottle of it runs for about 400 Lumin, but it can last you months because of its potency. I ran out last week sadly. She walked to the counter and sat at the bar and waved at the bartender. Hey, is Nykas around today? The man was probably alien. His eyes were purple and he had this blue thing that sat on his nose in the shape of a V. It spread out behind his head for about an inch, it was blue. He has blue patches of what look like large scales on his skin, which otherwise is pale and white. "No, but she should be in later. A new batch is being prepared." Alexis simply nods and turns back to Eliza and Ceylan. Well she aint here. What do you want to do next? |

The thing Alexis described sound exactly like the thing she'd need to have at hand at all times. In fact, it sounded just about as useful as the air they'd breath. Thanks to a system change Ceylan wasn't broke again, so Aliza knew that Ceylan should have the cash for a bottle, even though the stuff was quite expensive. “That stuff sounds great.” She looked around through the bar, including at the somewhat odd bartender. This stuff was rather alien indeed. As for Alexis' question. “Well... if there's still Mach Allimer left, I say we give it a try!” After all, a new batch 'being prepared' didn't mean that the old batch had ran dry. Only a fool would wait until all booze had gone before bringing in new one, and someone like this Nykas didn't seem to be a fool. Ceylan, on the other hand, was a bit more business focussed, as he was thinking on the visual changes to Aliza's body that he had spotted during the contact with the Monolith. Blue lines resembling circuitry began appearing on Aliza's skin and her eyes went blue as well. He wondered if that was due to this odd drink. “Does consuming this drink have any visible effects on someone, like blue lines appearing on their skin or their eyes turning blue?” If that was the case, Aliza's riddle might've been a fair bit easier than expected. If not, they'd probably have to go and ask Nykas about it. |
Alexis Malachite Status: Could be a little less Sober... It is great~ Just, you might want to drink something they call Shaydim. Its recommended to people who havent tried Allimer before. Nasty as hell, but itll keep you conscious. She patted the seat next to her to tell her to get a seat and pressed a button underneath her seat. A back to the barstool appeared in an almost coral shape. Designed out of necessity. "A frequent visitor I see... Then I assume you just want the Allimer. Alexis chuckled. Two shots of it actually. And unless my friend here thinks she doesnt need it, Shaydim for her. He would nod and pull a bottle to him with telekinesis. Organizing the glasses, he also got a bottle that looked empty. The empty bottle was poured first, and what came out didnt even look liquid, but rather some sort of heavy gas. The Mach Allimer was next and it poured slowly, it appeared to be quite viscous. In the end, the Mach Allimer only filled up a tenth of the glass you were given. Um, I do not think so Ceylan. Nobody here is glowing except that guy. She motioned at a bald alien in the corner with bio-luminescent spots on his arms and forehead. If you want some, you should go ahead and order it. Though I dont know if you want to be drunk at the same time as Aliza. Your call though. She took one of the glasses of Mach Allimer and eyed it happily for a few minutes. |

Aliza was a proud daughter of Belial, so she wouldn't let some silly drink do her under, nor would she cheat around the bush while trying to down it. She hopped on the seat besides Alexis, and, mostly out of curiosity, tried to repeat the barstool-back-button trick. It was quiet odd indeed. Just how bad did people around here hold their liquor? She, on the other hand, had built up a fair resistance to it, to the point where it was as good as a skill of hers. To that extend, she hoped this stuff would even do something. “I'll be fine. I've drunken some big-shots straight under the table, so I highly doubt a single shot will get to me. For that matter, I hope it'll at least make me feel tipsy~” She watched as the shots were poured, with whatever sort of heavy gas they were poured with, and could only wonder why they were so stingy with it as she raised an eyebrow. It seemed like the blue glow wasn't caused by the Mach Allimer. Maybe [s]a certain someone forgot to mention[/i] it was just a side-effect of the Monolith being used, and it had happened to him as well which had just been left out of the post, making things confusing. In either scenario, he'd skip on the drinking. “No thanks, I'm not that much of a drinker.” In the meantime, Aliza had picked up her glass, “Cheers~” and downed it. A demonic resistance to alcohol against the Mach Allimer. Considering how weird the stuff looked, it might just as well be an entirely different drug than alcohol, but where would be the fun in overthinking it. In either case, Aliza had gone in full, while Ceylan just stood by and observed. |
Alexis Malachite Status: Could be a little less Sober... Alexis grins very smugly at Aliza's confidence. Oh, I promise it will do something~ You havent ever had anything like it before. Alexis began downing the glass and they might notice how literally all of the liquid slides out of the glass, as if it was semi-solid. Leaving no residue behind. She sat the shot glass on the table and leaned back. It was only after a few seconds could you see her swallow. She looked over at Aliza, waiting on her to drink it. And drink it she did. It was... a unique beverage. Every bit as alien as it looks. As it went down, it had a very thick consistency. But you didnt feel as if you were going to choke on it. Almost like some kind of slimy. It had the viscosity of slime, but not the texture. Instead it felt like cream going down. Quickly it went from thick to thin as water as your throat heated it up. It was only after the shot had been downed that the taste kicked in. Your throat felt cold. And not ice cold, but mint-cold. Yet it didnt taste like mint. It tasted sweet and fruity. But not like any fruit you have ever eaten. Then a savory aftertaste that paired strangely with the rest of it. All in all, it actually was pleasant. None of that tasted even remotely like alcohol. It took a moment obviously before anything begins happening. But when it began, it came on quick. And it became readily apparent that you werent ready for it. Almost immediately came the buzz. Resistances to alcohol didnt seem to do you much good. Your high was briefly interrupted by an unwelcome moment of clarity, as Ceylan observed the same effects as the Monolith. And Aliza saw the Monolith as a new vision came to pass. Afterwards, you were hit by the sudden onset of inebriation. But different somehow. It becomes easy to see why its so damn popular. But the feeling is hard to describe. You cant help but feel thoughts and emotions of a deeply personal variety. Everything you find good and perfect. Thats what Mach Allimer tastes like, and what it does. The experience isnt something many can put in words. Alexis closes her eyes and has a very dopey smile on her face as she leans back. Her hand was held out in front of her as if reaching for something. She looked content. |

Whatever she had swallowed, it resulted in quite a trip, to the point where it wasn't really something she could put into words. It also seemed like she had fulfilled the first part of her quest, and was sent back to the Monolith. After enjoying the aftermath for a bit, or rather, quite a bit, or rather rather, a long enough time for Ceylan to debate whether Aliza would ever snap back out of it, she stretched. “That was quite something...” After a fair while, the stuff seemed to settle down enough for Aliza to snap out of it. Ceylan figured he might as well finish up his job here, and paid for the bill.“Well, it seems like we've solved this part of the riddle. We might as well head back to the Monolith to see what happens next.” In the back of his mind, he couldn't help wondering why Aliza was told to take some drug while he was told to go die a horrible death. That Monolith was truly something. |
Alexis Malachite Status: Could be a little less Sober... The Bartender charged Ceylan only 20 Lumin for Alexis'. Claiming that Aliza's was on the house as a newcomer. He smiles, winks at Ceylan in particular and emphasizes that he hopes they will be back soon. He also offers a shot of that Gas thats supposed to reduce the effects if Aliza hasnt fully come down from her high in a while. Alexis still Dazed, gets up. She has a very genuine smile on her face, but it looks a little melancholic. But still happy. She was standing, and Aliza should know by now that was a feat. But Alexis has hinted multiple times that she is a regular here. This wonderful Allimer never fails to deliver. I guess Ill talk to you later you sexy fish~ She waves at the Bartender and moves forward with zero elegance, but a surprising amount of grace. She doesnt even walk drunk. Do you mind if I follow you for a while? I got no real goals at the moment. My last mission was screwed from the start. That fucking city... Alexis visibly trembles and then breaths, her high appears to be wearing off. She collects her wits and keeps walking. I wager you are heading to the Collectors Place? |

Aliza wasn't one to admit defeat, but... She did feel quite a bit wobbly on her legs. Eventually, she silently took the gas to reduce the effects, before Ceylan would decide to desummon her altogether. She did get some awkward thoughts with regards to the phrase 'sexy fish' though, something that quickly left her mind when she needed her focus on starting to walk as stable as possible. Ceylan shrugged his shoulders, as the bartender winked at him. He was mostly glad to see the price was fair enough, although he, for one, wasn't as eager to try it himself. Considering Aliza was preoccupied getting one foot in front of the other as gracefully and steadily as an elephant in a porcelain store, Ceylan figured he'd answer Alexis' questions. “Not really, and you're right, we're heading for the Museum to see the Monolith again.” And with that, both of them would leave the area, heading to the museum. Once they were in the museum, they'd make their way back to the Monolith, where Aliza would once again touch it (if nothing stopped her), to see what would happen next. |
