| Short story : we don't even know. As manga readers we're all quite pissed about some changes made in the anime, but since the author said the 5 first episodes will be different from the manga we don't know if the adaptation will be faithful to source material after that. Since there is only 4 manga adapted on this first season which will be adapted into 21 episodes, there is also a "chance" the anime will be full of fillers. I definitely enjoyed the episode but also was frustrated by changes they made so since it's only the first episode I'd still recommend you to watch it but I'll also recommend you to read the manga if you can. Overall it's definitely a OK/Meh start for a good amount of viewers, but since the story is really fast paced in the manga I don't know how the anime will do with that much episodes... (to make a quick comparison, Jojo's first part was composed of 5 mangas that were adapted into 9 episodes and the anime was really faithful to the source material as well as some details that were added to keep the story more coherent). |

| Yeah, it's enjoyable and the start of the manga wasn't that much impressive neither, so if you're not as uptight as I am on little details (that may still be correctly adapted in the following episodes) you could like it, nonetheless it's still fun to get your own point of view so I recommend you to watch the first episode. EDIT: Also shonen really aren't good examples of show to judge on only one episode, for example the adaptation of FMA brotherhood really sucked on its first 10 episodes or so because they tried to cram too much content and skipped some parts of the 6-7 first manga volumes because it was already adapted before, same shit for HunterxHunter(2011). On watching those first episodes clearly you have no idea at how great the shows can be later on with just the few glimpses of info about the background of the universe or the characters presented on the first episode. |
