Hi All.

I guess this is really late but I only worked up the patience to read through and finish the manga of "Kaichou wa Maid-sama!" only today. Its quite an interesting story and honestly I felt it better than most rom-coms. But still, I have some things that I couldnt understand or may have overlooked. Please help me in understanding the below. Thanks in advance.

1) Takumi is portrayed as pretty much the most perfect bishounen character. So, it kind of seems baffling that he got stuck so easily and trapped by his brother in England, requiring Misaki to come and rescue him. Was this written just for the sake of a convenient way to show Misaki's commitment to her relationship with him?

2) Takumi himself says that properly dating Misaki is too troublesome. And he said it twice for good measure. Why did he say that when he was that much interested in her?

3) Misaki hates men. And cocky ppl like Takumi are the ones she hates the most. But as time goes, she slowly comes to accept him, while most of the time getting embarrassed and denying her real feelings outright. Is it because she feels its wrong to like Takumi against her hatred of cocky guys, but cant help it?

4) Gerard basically holds Takumi hostage in England. Its understandable that with his weak health, he wants to use Takumi as the face of the royal family to maintain a stellar image. But he also gives up pretty easily when Misaki shows up and everyone suddenly accepts Takumi's wish of going back to Japan to finish his studies. Doesnt this make the hostage situation pretty much pointless?
Best ending line in anime history = "My name is Saiki Kusuo. I am a psychic."

Well doesn't seem like this thread is active anyway so I'll just rant here.

I HATE HINATA SHINTANI!!!
Ah finally i feel better!

Initially he didn't bother me, even when he said that he wouldn't give up in chapter 39 I was quite positive about, "hey go for it man... Even though both of them like each other it's not like they're dating yet."

But I've had it with his attitude in chapter 60, what the hell man!? They're already dating, just move on. There's nothing more characterless and shameless than to chase after someone else's girlfriend even when they're actually quite happy with each other.
I just hate it in when PPL don't know when to give up irl or in a fictitious material.
