I can understand those reporters and the fans for being obsessed with Hayato but that announcer sucks, he didn't even say Yuto's name. Imaizumi is too normal to win this race. |

| Hit us in the feels, will ya? This is why Midousuji-kun is in the top of my favorite characters from the series and Yuto follows suit (I'm liking him more and more since we have gotten introduced to him more properly). |

| 4 out of 5 just because they showed us a flashback with Midousuji. If it were not, I would put 1 out of 5. I am not at all interested in flashbacks with Hakogaku and I want to skip this. If Hakogaku wins here, then this season of anime will be a failure for me. If Yuto wins here, it will be dumb because the climber will win the race with the sprinter only because he rode with his brother in childhood. |

| I couldn't hold my laughter when Midousuji suddenly said Phokya which sounds like 'Fuck yeah'. This episodes is trying to make us depressed I see with those two flashbacks. Must be frustrating being referred as younger brother instead of by name even by a damn announcer |

| DAFUQ?!! Man... they really know how to lose the tension - flashbacks one after another when they were RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE GOAL. Hakugaku getting too much flashbacks. Aaand we're back to Shinkai, my least fav character in S1. THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS. Still, they inserted this one flashback in a really weird timing but I do love kid Midousuji and his mom. Idk... they're too soft for me. BUT ALL THE FLASHBACKS WERE UNNECESSARY IN THIS EPISODE WTF- MIDO WON AGAINST SHINKAI AND EVEN IMAIZUMI. THAT CLIMBER KID CAN'T POSSIBLY WIN AGAINST THE TWO. I WILL NEVER ACCEPT THIS IF HE WINS. |

| While I liked the flashback, it's getting hard to feel bad for Midousuji. The tragic backstory doesn't feel as impactful when his character development just leads to being the recurring villain / troll. I wouldn't want him becoming a goody two-shoes, but doubling down on the creepy insanity just adds to the repetition that this second Inter-High is already guilty of. Now I remember why I scored this season lower - the interruptions at each finish line just get abysmal. It's ironic how Grande Road had better pacing despite being the longest stage so far. |
