| I'm really struggling to gauge whether this is worth reading or not. It's different enough with the whole delinquent thematic but still manages to feel incredibly samey in everything it attempts to do. You can tell that this is going to be one of those romance mangas which starts with an unnaturally quick pace and later devolves into the characters cockteasing their love for one another ((((even though they are already in a relationship)))). Also, to go on a quick diatribe about the male protagonist, he is somehow even worse than the stock standard. His hyperawareness of Kanade is entertaining with the context that he's always been a bootlicker, but even then I hate how submissive he is. I don't get why romantic comedies glamorise people who are extremely self-aware and have no interests or initiative, because those qualities are far from endearing. |
