| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- This chapter was a mixture of multiple different battles. The beginning was clearly an allusion to the Nanjing Massacre, but that wasn't explicitly stated in the chapter. The reference to the cathedral was the clear evidence. Even though Carlo Zen pushes boundaries in this novel, its clear he is only willing to go so far in this case. What surprised me most was how little of the information in the chapter was absent during the opening section. The reporters had no proof of Republic mages in the city, when there should be plenty of evidence on both sides. |
