| I'm 22 and have never seen the original - I'm going into this with no preconceived notions other than the fact that I know how revered the original was. With that being said, as someone who is new to LotGH I am really looking forward to this. From my perspective the art/animation looks modern and fresh, the music and sounds seem fantastic, and I really like the voice acting from what little we have seen. The director, much like most fans, recognizes the same things that made the original so great and sounds very dedicated to this story. Most of the complaints I have read from hardcore fans of the old series seem to be about character redesigns and not picking up the voice actors from the original. I think these are relatively weak complaints to make for something that hasn't even aired yet but then again if I try to assume their perspective I could understand the skepticism to some degree. My only reservation is that from what I've gathered it seems like a very dense story to cram into 12 episodes and 3 movies which could turn out to be disastrous. I'm guessing (hoping) there will be more episodes in the future after this. I'll probably go back and watch the original once this finishes. Either way I hope this turns out well and I am very excited as a new fan! |

| Tmw the supporting cast looks better than the main cast, although Yang's looks and voice is not too bad. It's Reinhard and Kircheis they've made looking out of place the most with the most obvious kuruko designs. |

| They burned a lot of money making this remake. I can understand why the need of making movies. Hoping to make money with BD sales alone would be insanity. Nobody from the Phezzani faction on PV.... come on. You can see the roadmap at their website that future adaptations are planned, but they will probably check how successful will be.  |

| Ohhhh boy, the hype is real. They'd better do he characters right & keep the focus of the show neutral, like the original show. And Reinhard has to break enough glasses of red wine, since those were always great moments. |

| The best anime ever, see how it goes. My favorite anime ;) Those who know the old serie will have to get used to Cgi, but it does not get much effect, in a bad sense. Reinhard and Yang voices look good ;) Edit = By the way, I think it's a wrong choice to give such a wonderful anime to such a director :( |

| Looks pretty good and since I have no comparison with the original chances of getting disappointed are lower. Think I will still watch the original once this is over. |
