  G R E A T E R O A K L A N DGreater Oakland became the prosperous center of business during the late 21st century when much of San Francisco was lost to the collapsing seabed. With businesses making the move across the bay and much of the population following suit, economics of the area exploded. In addition, with the harbor already the bay's most widely used port, it was simply expanded upon until it became the busiest in all of the US. Crime in the major city is relatively low with regular patrols keeping a watchful eye on the day to day of every citizen. Outside however, most noticeably in the surrounding Old Oakland area, crimes rates rise and continue to do so practically unhindered. |
