W O R L D L O R E   A . I . D . A .Artificially Intelligent Demi-Organic Android. AIDA began as the first realization of a fully functioning AI robotic. Made from a skeleton of steel, copper wire and nano computing, these first models were costly to manufacture and maintain but provided a growing populace with a workforce that was unlimited. The second model was the first to integrate bio-organic materials in place of an entirely metal framework. The drastic change improved cosmetics yes, but also drastically improved on AIDA's lifespan. Organics worked much like the human body they were made to emulate. Self repair and healing not unlike natural living cells. A flexible durability. A positive crowdsource testing due to a more human like appearance. Model three would become AIDA's crowning achievement and it's greatest failure. Entirely organic, born and grown at an accelerated pace. Brains were "programmed" to learn. To respond to stimuli and formulate it's own response. The idea was to help AIDAs reach a new level of productivity by allowing them to problem solve on their own. Because v3s were "born", every part of their physicality was customized at the anatomical level and manufactured to be superior to the human, so they could do more for them. This would lead to unforeseen circumstances when a large number of AIDAs working on the Mars colonies orchestrated their own coup. After the incident, AIDA v3's were discontinued and the company was nearly bankrupt. A decade later and AIDA v4 was released in limited quantities. An inferior model to their predecessors in strength but still stronger than the average human to better help with their duties. Extra measure of control were programmed allowing for entire commands that could override the AIDA's own thought processes and a neurological link to one other individual. This would ensure a "bond" which an AIDA was least likely to break and also move accountability to the owner of the AIDA themselves. P . D . C .Policing Department of California. Taking precedence over local law enforcement, the PDC and all state departments like it patrol the entirety of that state. A specialized unit meant to investigate crimes of a higher profile while law enforcement established in specific cities take on the smaller posts. This distinct separation was a necessity put into place after the population of Earth began to skyrocket. Crime reached an unprecedented height and a drastic change to the judicial system had to be made. |
