Yeah thats the main reason why I love this anime so much, because of Basara is badass and I have a very DEEP HATRED for Beta MC's like Keitaro from Love Hina or Yukinari from Girls Bravo.

I agree that they did a good job with the Season 1 but the second Season is not only rushed but they skipped volume 6 (they only adapted from that volume Maria's scene with Mio where she acts as Basara in the first OVA) so they could adapt the volumes 4,5 and 7 in 10 chapters and also the scenes lewds are not as strong as the novels are a little censored and little changed some not all. This series Production IMS did not give the same treatment as Masou Gakuen HxH being that Testament scenes are stronger than in Masou Gakuen HxH in the novels maybe because Testament was transmitted in Tokyo MX and Masou Gakuen HxH in A-TX

Well if your opinion seems good, maybe if I had not read the volumes I would have enjoyed it more the second season and I would not have done badly, the same thing happened with my friend who reads the novels in Japanese who told me that the part of Chisato in Ova Departures, maybe for the people who only see the anime they feel good but those who read the light novels know that Departures did a really shitty job with the way they handled this part.
