| Hi all. I have been watching citrus so far and it has been kind of interesting since i know very less about romance, let alone same gender romance. It was refreshing compared to all other romance I have watched but I have a few doubts about it. Please help me on this. 1) Why would a sensible girl like Mei kiss her step sister and then say she just wants to shut her up? Seems like a lame reason, unless she was already in love with Yuzu, which was impossible since it was the first time she met Yuzu at home 2) How come Yuzu suddenly realizes she loves Mei in a romantic way? Is a kiss from a girl enough to make that happen? That too at the start itself? I can understand love at first sight, but you need some physical attraction factor for that. Love during time spent together is quite understandable. But love at first kiss? That too by a girl who is her own stepsister? 3) Are Yuzu, Mei and Himeko just confusing sexual desire for love? Or are they really in love? I really dont get it. I havent read the manga but I would prefer not to, if the explanation can be found within the series itself. Ofc I plan on reading the manga but I always try to grasp the anime fully and then start reading the manga from there. Please clarify. Thanks in advance. |

| So I've only just watched episode one but I can say a few things I've noticed. 1: The kiss that Mei forced on Yuzu was to make her experience what she had been feeling from the teacher, which didn't seem consensual at all. 2: I assume she gets her first crush in episode 2, I'm sure I'll find out 3: Hopefully the series expands on that, I much prefer yuri shows that have good writing and build up for the relationships, which I really hope this one manages at some point. The art style is too colorful and nice for me to have to drop it :( |
